Computers have become the need of today’s jobs as there is no job done without its use. Different computers and software are required for different jobs to complete their work. System analyst does this work of guiding the businesses and organizations about which software and computer to buy and decide how to get these tools to work together.

These analysts start their work by asking people what work their computers need to do for business. Then they decide on a computer system that can perform all the work which can include many computers connected to each other with different software and tools. They plan for the system tools by deciding which is fastest, easiest and cheap for those who require. An analyst also tells the computer programmer about developing new software if required, by giving step-by-step instructions. It is the duty of the analyst to test whether the system works properly without any mistake or error.

Requirements: Those who want to opt for career as a System Analyst, one should take a bachelor’s degree in computer or information science or one can gain bachelor’s degree in any discipline and then add computer experience through various classes or hands-on experience. A master's degree in business with an accent in computer technology is essential to understand business operations and technologies that might best serve the specific business model. In order to become a professional in this field, one has to be good in math, computer and logical thinking. Also, an analyst should be able to communicate well with professional and employers who don't have knowledge of computer technology.

Payment: The working hours in this field depend on the system development, but sometimes a system analyst has to work for long hours.  As stated in the May 2011, report of Bureau of Labor Statistics in USA the average annual salary of system analysts is $82,320 which has increased by 0.3%. In Missouri, currently there are around 12,470 system analysts who get paid with an average annual salary of $77,670. There are new companies coming up which need new technologies of computer for their work and hence the job opportunities for a system analyst are going to increase by 22% by 2020 across USA.
